Glitter Text - http://www.sparklee.com
For the past few weeks we have been busy learning about forces and also how to write prac reports and have certainly been putting these skills to use. We have assignments due soon and we need to write a prac report for apart of our assesment. To practise we did a prac in class called 'Landing time of a parachute'. In this prac we would have an independent variable that is being changed is the area of the canopy and the dependent variable that is being measured was the time it took for the parachute to land. On the forces side of things we used plastic garbage bag. This was so the air resistance didn't just travel through tiny holes which may have been in other materials which could've been used. There was also a bit of plasticine/dough on the end of a paperclip which was on the parachute as weight. This was also known as gravity and the parachute was slowly pulled down. It was better to have less weight for a balanced between gravity and air resistance for a smoother landing though.
