Today during class we had the heart dissection, this was very enjoyable. we learnt about where the veins are and that the walls of the left and right are very different. Shown on the left is the left wall of the heart, it is much thicker so it can deal with the pressure of pushing blood around the body.

ReplyDeleteThis was really fun, wasn't it MVW? I hope we do something like this again soon. We also learn't where the four chambers where and got to feel the heart.
ReplyDeleteYou're right! Not only was it a very fun activity, but it was also a wonderful eperience for us to expand our knowledge about the heart! I can't wait for us to do something like this again!
ReplyDeleteMVW. You've taken a great picture there of the dissection of the heart. When I dissected the heart with someone else, I could see the differences in which was which. For example, the left side of the heart was very light from receiving oxygenated blood and very thick while the right side was filled with soft tissues and it's very dark from receiving deoxygenated blood. Sorry if I have gone too far.
