Flower Dissection







I learned heaps while doing the dissection! I found it very interesting too... I found out how flowers produce more flowers! Its like when some pollen from another flower's male piece (known as stamen) rubs off onto another flower's female piece, its sticks to the female piece (Known as style) and goes down through the style and down to the ovary. The seeds that are found in the ovary are known as ovule! As shown in this picture to the right:


I never knew how such pretty flowers produced so many other flowers until we dissected a flower. I think it just goes to show that nature is the thing that makes the planet....The beautiful alive planet!
