Silly Putty

Is silly putty/slime a solid or a liquid?

  1. I think that a silly putty is a liquid because when you place the putty in a cup for example, the putty will eventually take the shape of the base of the object as a liquid will do. However, solid does not take the shape of the base of an object.

  2. Yes, but silly putty can bounce, and last time I checked, liquids didn't bounce. I think that silly putty is both, changing frequently.
